There was last-minute drama in Sydney this week as Bondi FC let go of a 2-nil lead and ended up losing 2-3 to Bengaluru Phoenix.
Ricardo Augusto and Josh Park had Bondi 2-up inside 18 minutes. Liam O’Malley pulled one back in the 44th minute.
Ajay Pal then equalised in the 67th minute and it was the Irishman O’Malley who stole the winner for the Indian club in the 90th minute. A huge result for Bengaluru, but a dagger to the heart of Bondi fans.
The Blues' captain Josh Park, who limped off in the second half before the collapse, spoke to the media after the game and had this to say.
