We’ll start in Los Angeles where FC Angelenos picked up their fourth win in five games as they beat Brasil Amazonia 2-1. ‘La Familia’ had an unlikely hero in Kevin Vidal who came off the bench to score twice in the second half. They’re the Peruvian’s first goals of the season. Thiago Barros had given Amazonia the lead in the first half. The result leaves Angelenos in third, three points off the top.
The leaders Inter Nusantara won a five-goal thriller in India overcoming Bengaluru Phoenix 3-2 despite being down to ten men for a lot of the game. Bas Holsink, Ze Antunes and Olle Mustafa scored for the Indonesian side who lost Thuan Ly to a red card in the 46th minute. Bengaluru’s goals came via a Noah Drakenburg penalty and an injury-time strike by Liam O’Malley.
Bondi FC let a two-nil lead go late on against Tokyo Youth Club in Sydney. Ash Jones and Renato Augusto put Bondi in control, but goals in the 84th and 85th minute by Raphael Hauffe and Yanis N’Diaye saw them share the spoils.
Naija United picked up a dramatic 2-1 win against Riyadh Stars in Lagos. Uchenna Chibueze scored five minutes into added time to steal the win for the Nigerian club. The result moves them off the bottom of the table.
Elsewhere, Club Sportivo Palermo drew 1-1 with Paris St-Denis, the giant Austrian Manuel Wolf put the French side ahead only for Ignacio Correa to level for Palermo.
Finally, Manhattan FC beat a very disappointing South London United by two goals to nil in New York. Isaac Carter scored in the first minute and Dale Ramos netted after the break in a pretty routine win.
