Round 19 Review of One Future Football

Round 19 of One Future Football saw the race for the top six get even tighter. Naija United, Paris St-Denis and Tokyo Youth Club are in a hell of a battle.

Naija went to Paris St-Denis and won 1-0. Ojo Oladipupo scored in the 60th minute. Nick Amos has missed a penalty for Naija earlier in the game. That result sees Naija jump about Paris into fifth.

That result meant Tokyo Youth Club had to get a result away at the leaders Brasil Amazônia, and they did. Tokyo won 3-1 thanks to late goals from Kosuke Maeda and Mayacine Badiakha.

South London United are up to second after picking up a 1-0 win over Club Sportivo Palermo. James Alcock’s stunning free-kick was the difference between the sides. That’s three wins in a row for South London who are just two points off the top of the table.

Rashid Al Balushi scored two in Riyadh Star’s 3-1 win over Bengaluru Phoenix. The Stars are in fourth place right now and looking strong.

Inter Nusantara looked like their old selves beating Manhattan FC 3-1 in New York. Bas Holsink scored twice and Segara Biru also scored for Nusantara.

FC Angelenos are off the bottom of the table after beating Bondi FC 1-0 in Los Angeles thanks to a Dominic Wallace goal.

There are now only three games left to decide the makeup of the top six. Remember, the top six teams qualify for the end-of-season finals.
