Round 20 Review of One Future Football

After the weekend’s action, we are just two games away from knowing the top six and playoff finalists for Season Three of One Future Football.

Firstly, Brasil Amazônia look to have wrapped up top spot thanks to their 2-1 win over South London United in Manaus. Thiago Barros scored his 16th goal of the season in the win.

Bondi FC moved up to second after their 2-2 draw with Manhattan FC in Sydney. Garang Tarihoran scored late to save Nick Stav’s Aussies.

Riyadh Stars lost 3-2 to Club Sportivo Palermo in Argentina, but they are still fourth. Ignacio Correa scored the winner in 90+7’ for Palermo.

Naija United are fifth, they had a convincing 3-1 win over FC Angelenos with Deji Akande sealing the three points for the Nigerian.

Paris St-Denis sit in sixth place after their 1-1 draw with Bengaluru Phoenix. Paris manager TotalFlipz will be disappointed they conceded in the 89th minute to Emmnuel Fargues.

Tokyo Youth Club are still seventh after they lost 2-1 at home to Inter Nusantara. David de Sousa scored twice for Nusantara who could still make the finals with a miracle. They need to win their next two and hope that Paris and Tokyo both their remaining games.

There are now only two games left to decide the makeup of the top six. Remember, the top six teams qualify for the end-of-season finals.
