Round 22 Review of One Future Football

Round 22 of 22 took place over the weekend so we now know how the final league table stands at the end of the regular season.

Tokyo Youth Club’s finals dream was squashed by Nick Stav and Bondi FC as they drew 2-2. Tokyo needed to win that game to have a chance of qualifying. 19-year-old Bondi centre-back Brodie O'Brien picked up player of the match.

Paris St-Denis were the big winners as they beat a second-string Brasil Amazônia in Brazil to jump up to 4th place. Jung Sang-Min and Florian Grava both scored twice in the 4-2 win. Amazônia made seven changes to their starting XI for the game.

South London United needed to beat Riyadh Stars to jump up to second, but they drew 2-2. A late Ruben Sinclair goal earned them a point which left them 3rd. Naija United conceded late against Inter Nusantara to draw 1-1 which leaves them in sixth place.

Elsewhere, Benglauru Phoenix hammered Manhattan FC 4-2 thanks to a brace from Noah Drakenburg and Club Sportivo Palermo beat FC Angelenos 2-0 in Buenos Aires. Pablo Burgueno scored two for Palermo.

Here’s the draw for the qualifying finals and semi-finals. It's Paris St-Denis vs Riyadh Stars and South London United vs Naija United in the qualifying finals. Brasil Amazônia and Bondi FC await in the semi-finals.
