Round 9 Review Of One Future Football

Inter Nusantara 2-3 Tokyo Youth Club
Nusantara's dreadful run continues after losing at home to Tokyo in Round 9. Tsubasa Tanaka opened the scoring in the 12th minute after being set up by Raphael Hauffe. Tokyo led 0-1 at half-time.

The game exploded into life in the second half. Bas Holsink scored on his return to level the game in the 51st minute. Yacine Haddad restored Tokyo's advantage two minutes later and Ko Kato put the visitors 3-1 up from the penalty spot in the 71st minute.

Nusantara pulled one back through full-back Kwon Dae-Seong in the 77th minute but could not find the equaliser.

Paris St-Denis 2-2 Bengaluru Phoenix
Paris dropped points at home to bottom side Bengaluru Phoenix in a pulsating game in northern Paris.

Bengaluru's young Indian prodigy Ravi Dasar scored first in the 41st minute, but Paris equalised just before half-time through Moussa Balmy. Florian Grava pounced three minutes into the second half to put Paris 2-1. Bengaluru had a golden chance to level it in the 50th minute, but Noah Drakenburg missed from the penalty spot. However, Drakenburg made up for that miss by scoring in the 65th minute after some nice work by Ajay Pal. Either side could have won in the end.

FC Angelenos 1-1 Naija United
Naija United left Los Angeles with a point in the end, but it should have been more. Cristian Venditto put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute after some nice link-up with Anthony Chidi. Angelenos hung in there and their perseverance was rewarded in the 59th minute when Dominic Wallace finished powerfully to level things up. Naija dominated from then on, but couldn't get the winner they deserved. A point apiece.

Manhattan FC 1-1 Bondi FC
An evenly contested match in New York finished 1-1 which was a fair result. Leo Ramon put Manhattan ahead in the 15th minute and Bondi equalised through Ivano Pellegrini in the 66th. The young Italian is having a fine season for Bondi. Both keepers proved their worth after that making fine saves as it finished 1-1.

Riyadh Stars 1-1 Club Sportivo Palermo
It was a cagey game at the Oasis Stadium in Saudi Arabia with defences on top for most of the game. Palermo's giant centre-back Salvador Broglia headed home a Leonardo Riveros free-kick to put the Argentines ahead just before the break. Riyadh's Greek winger Kostas Takas levelled in the 48th minute and there wasn't much more to report.

South London United 3-2 Brasil Amazônia
South London made a big statement on Sunday by convincingly beating the league leaders Amazônia 3-2.

A ten-minute spell in the second half turned the game on its head. Goals from Ruben Sinclair (55'), Adrien Grondin (60') and Renzo Moyano (65') had South London 3-0 up and their fans in dreamland.

Amazônia had a glimmer of hope when Junior Ybarra scored in the 85th and then Dani Viana pulled another back in 90+8, but The Ballers held on for a massive three points.
