Ajak Bul is a 28-year-old centre-half from Tambur, Juba in South Sudan. At 1.89m tall and weighing 88kg, he is a formidable presence on the pitch. Bul's no-nonsense playing style and exceptional ability to intercept and disrupt the opposition's play make him a valuable member of the defence. Since moving to Sydney, Bul has developed an unexpected interest in surfing. Growing up in a landlocked country, this new hobby may seem surprising, but Bul has embraced the challenges of adapting to a new environment. To pursue his newfound passion, he took swimming lessons and worked hard to improve his technique in the water. This newfound interest in surfing has not only helped Bul to improve his swimming skills, but it has also provided him with a much-needed outlet for relaxation and mindfulness. His favourite beach to surf is Maroubra Beach but he wants to surf regularly in Tamarama Beach when he’s a bit more experienced.
