Mateo Morales is an exciting Mexican striker playing with LA-based club Angelenos in One Future Football. Morales is best known for his expertise from a dead ball. He’s extremely dangerous from free kicks anywhere within 30 metres from the goal. The fans of Angelenos call him ‘El Francotirador’ which means ‘The Sniper’. Morales was born in the city of Zamora which is located between Guadalajara and Mexico City in the Michoacán region of Mexico and followed the well-worn route north to California. Off the field, he spends a lot of time in Downey – informally known as the "Mexican Beverly Hills", and in Downtown LA. Since moving to the city, he’s become obsessed with the hip-hop scene so he’s always on the lookout for a gig. He’s a huge fan of Kendrick Lamar, Santa Fe Klan, Jack Harlow, and Drake. Away from football, he loves boxing mainly due to Mexican fighter Canelo Alvarez. Mateo sometimes trains at the City of Angels Boxing gym Downtown. Mateo also hangs out on Olvera Street in Downtown. Even though it’s a bit touristy, he loves hearing the Spanish language in accents from all over Mexico and Central America.
