Frans Papare was born in Tulehu to parents from Jayapura, Papua. Even though he grew up in the Tulehu football village, his favourite club is still Persipura (Jayapura) because it was inherited from his parents. Apart from playing football, Papare always finds time to help his father with fishing, a family tradition that has been passed down for generations. In addition to his love for football and fishing, Papare is also a passionate advocate for environmental conservation. Growing up on the coast, he has seen first-hand the impact of pollution and climate change on the oceans and marine life. Papare believes that everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment, and he hopes to use his platform as a footballer to raise awareness and inspire others to take action. Moreover, growing up in a Muslim environment from a Christian family made Papare a person who upholds anti-discrimination both from ethnicity and religion.
