Luís da Cruz grew up in the town of Praia in the suburb of Achada de Santo António, Cape Verde. He's a promising young goalkeeper with excellent one-on-one skills, making him a valuable asset to Brasil Amazônia. When he's not training or playing, he can be found with his nose buried in a book. Some of his favourite books include "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho and "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez. Luís is also a fan of the works of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Toni Morrison. Those authors have led him to write his own short stories and poetry. He plans to release some of his writings in the next few years.
