Avery Joseph is a 29-year-old goalkeeper from Trinidad & Tobago who grew up in Belmont in Port of Spain. Joseph was named as the goalkeeper in the Team of the Season for Season Two. He follows in the long line of talented goalkeepers from the small island nation and is currently the first choice for Brasil Amazônia. He’s highly valued for his quick reflexes and penalty-saving abilities, but he is susceptible to errors from time to time. When he's not playing football, Joseph loves to explore the outdoors and go on hikes and day trips around Manaus. Some of his favourite hiking trails include the Igarapé Açu and the Rio Negro. He has drawn comparisons to Shaka Hislop but doesn’t like them, he wants to carve his own path in football.
