Paris Saint-Denis sent a strong message to the rest of the league in Round 13 with the 3-0 win over Manhattan in Paris. It was a tight game up until the 84th minute with Jung Sang-Min broke the deadlock. The strength in depth at Paris is remarkable and it was substitute Manuel Wolf who killed the game off with a brace in the added time. It shows signs of improvement from last year’s title-winning season when Manhattan were their main rivals. It looks like the gap between the two giants has widened. The win moves Paris top of the table. 

Inter Nusantara have dropped out of first position after they could only manage a 1-1 draw away at Tokyo Youth Club. That man again, Bas Holsink, put the Indonesian club ahead. That’s his 10th goal of the season. Ko Kato responded with a penalty for Tokyo. 

The biggest shock of Round 13 happened in Buenos Aires where home side Club Sportivo Palermo were hammered 4-0 by neighbours Brasil Amazonia. Thiago Barros scored two and Darwin Saenz and Guilherme Orlando also netted. Joao Geraldes was immense bagging three assists. Palermo are now three games without a win. 

Naija United picked up a precious win against fellow struggler Bondi FC in Sydney. 18-year-old wonderkid Ojo Oladipupo scored the game’s only goal just before half-time. The win eases the pressure on manager Julius Martins ever so slightly. 

Bengaluru Phoenix ended a dreadful run of four games without a win when they beat Riyadh Stars 2-1 in India. Noah Drakenberg and So Sung-Chul with the goals for the home side, Rashid Al Balushi scored for Riyadh. 

Finally, FC Angelenos pulled off a smash-and-grab in London as they beat South London United 1-0. Colombian midfielder Alex Leon scored the winner, but goalkeeper Malick Clement was in inspired form for the LA side.

Thiago Barros scored a stunner for Brazil Amazonia against Club Sportivo Palermo. The Brazilian deftly placed the ball in the top corner after a beautiful dink over the top by João Geraldes.
