Round 17 Review of One Future Football

Brasil Amazônia have been the best team in One Future Football this season and sits on top of the table after Round 17/22.

Cadu Caos’ men drew 2-2 with Bengaluru Phoenix at the weekend, but they did rest the likes of Thiago Barros and Joao Geraldes. Bengaluru youngster Ajay Pal thought he'd won it in the 90th minute, but Junior Ybarra rescued a point for them at the death in the 90+4 minute.

The biggest challenge to Amazônia for the title looks to be from Bondi FC and Paris St-Denis.

Bondi beat Riyadh Stars 4-2 in Saudi Arabia with Charlie Baker-Jones scoring twice to make him the leader in the Golden Boot race with 14 goals.

Paris, meanwhile, have been quietly putting a run together. Their 3-1 win over Inter Nusantara was their fourth in five games. Florian Grava scored twice which pretty much kills Nusantara’s chances of retaining their title.

Elsewhere, South London United are back on track with a 3-1 win at home to Naija United. Two goals in added time including a free-kick by James Alcock saw them pick up the three points.

Club Sportivo Palermo’s attack finally clicked and Tokyo Youth Club felt its wrath as it finished 5-2 in Buenos Aires. Finally, FC Angelenos and Manhattan drew 1-1 in the American Derby. A result which doesn’t help either side.

Remember, the top six teams qualify for the end-of-season finals.
