Round 3 Review Of One Future Football

Paris St-Denis 0-0 Tokyo Youth Club
Paris St-Denis and Tokyo Youth Club faced off in the first games of Season 3 Round 3 of One Future Football and it finished in a goalless draw at Stade De Le Seine in Paris, France.

Both sides had won their opening two games and were scoring goals for fun, but neither was able to find the back of the net. Despite Paris having 8 shots compared to Tokyo's 9, the expected goals (xG) statistics slightly favoured Tokyo with 1.01 against Paris' 0.58. Both teams displayed solid defensive performances, thwarting each other's scoring attempts.

Following the draw, Paris St-Denis maintained their second-place position in the table, while Tokyo Youth Club remained at the top.

Riyadh Stars 3-2 FC Angelenos
Riyadh Stars secured their first points of the season with a narrow 3-2 victory over FC Angelenos at Oasis Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh took the lead through Cerqueira in the 20th minute, but Angelenos responded with Alex León's goal in the 40th minute. Alex Aquino's free-kick in the 48th minute put Riyadh back in front, but León equalized once again in the 58th minute. However, Cerqueira proved to be the match-winner as his second goal in the 79th minute sealed the win for Riyadh.

This victory propelled Riyadh Stars FC to eighth place in the table, while Futbol Club Angelenos remained in sixth.

South London United 4-2 Manhattan FC
South London United came from two goals down to beat Manhattan FC 4-2 at Hilly Fields Stadium in South London.

José Alcántar put Manhattan two up in the first half, but Adrien Grondin pulled one back just before half-time. The second half was all about South London who turned this around with goals from Ruben Sinclair, Renzo Moyano, and Ondrej Sýkora.

The win lifts South London United to sixth place in the table, while Manhattan dropped to eighth.

Brasil Amazônia 1-5 Inter Nusantara
Brasil Amazônia suffered a heavy 1-5 defeat against Inter Nusantara at Estádio do Rio Amazonas in Manaus.

Nusantara's attacking prowess was evident as they netted five goals, with Segara Biru opening the scoring in the 15th minute after a nice link-up with Stanley van Ooijen. Thiago Barros quickly responded for Amazônia in the 19th minute after some neat play by João Geraldes.

However, Inter Nusantara FC reclaimed the lead just two minutes later when former Amazônia player David de Sousa scored with a header.  Bas Holsink extended their advantage in the 61st minute with a left-footed strike thanks to an assist from van Ooijen.

The Dutch forward scored again in the 71st minute and then he turned provider, setting up Gianluca Capece for fifth goal in the 81st minute.

The result moves Inter Nusantara to the top of the table, while Amazônia dropped to fourth place.

Bengaluru Phoenix 0-0 Naija United
Bengaluru Phoenix FC and Naija United played out a goalless draw at Koramangala Stadium in Bengaluru, India.

Bengaluru had more shots and more shots on target, but Baba Fall was inspired in the Naija goal. The better of the chances fell to the Nigerians who had a higher XG, but they didn't take their chances.

Club Sportivo Palermo 1-0 Bondi FC
Club Sportivo Palermo secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Bondi Football Club at Parque Olimpico Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The only goal of the match came in the 37th minute when Izan Sabaté found the net with a header after a brilliant cross by Bernardo De Los Santos. Despite Bondi's efforts to find an equaliser, Club Sportivo Palermo's defence held firm, securing all three points for the home side.
